Product code: Vintage William K. Turner Raku buying studio pottery vase; signed.
The vase has a circular opening, a ring shaped rim, a cylindrical neck, bulbous form, slight tapering downward to base. The top piece has a bumpy texture, glossy glaze that has white spacing in glaze. In the patches, looking similiar to alligator skin. The body of the raku is in an iridescence of muted green design in stunning effects that can vary constantly in its shimmering; especially toward light. Inside the vase, some iridescent light glaze at top, gets more of a faint white color. It's signed in gold near bottom William K. T 11/91? The underside has a circular center hole like design and three cut like marks in base ridge. Good condition with no chips/cracks. A few white scuff marks in glaze that may or may not clean. I left alone as I found it so buying sold as is; see pics. Dirty inside. A beautiful piece. Measures 8.25" X 7" X 2.5" opening.
