Witch Hazel Vessel
These pots literally hold the essence of each plant that is displayed on them, and with that, also the medicine both physically & spiritually that each plant contains. Gazing upon & holding these pieces in your hand, you can feel and connect with the plants, commune with them. When you use these pieces or simply have them on your table, counter, altar, it's as if you have a vase of the actual live plant in the room with you, because each pot truly does emmanate the buying plant spirit. The plants have been calling me to work with them in this way for over 10 years and so, I've finally listened and have begun to create “Plant Spirit Vessels”.
Each plant communicated to me & volunteered to be pressed into the clay to have their literal & spiritual imprint made. I “listened” as each plant that was growing wild & in my gardens this spring & summer, told me what parts to use, how they'd like to be placed & what colors they liked to be glazed… so truly the pots that have been created were made by the plants themselves. I was just a conduit to allow their work to come into fruition.
