Real Onyx Mounted Vintage Perpetual Calendar. 1970s Vintage Gold buying tone Colour Desk Calendar on Heavy Green Marbled Onyx Base by Parker
A very stylish vintage desk item from Parker of a polished green onyx.
A very stylish vintage desk item from Parker, of a polished green onyx base with some particularly pleasing figuring and a pen trough, mounted with a perpetual desk calendar with dials to spin day, both digits of the date and month. The calendar is made from a brassy/gold coloured metal with octagonal barrel and it stands on a polished green onyx base with some particularly pleasing figuring, it would look fantastic on any desk or table.
Would say it dates from 1970s, and bears a 'Parker' label to the back.
The base measures 22.5cm (9 inches) wide by 13cm (5 inches) deep and it stands 7cm (3 inches) high.
It weighs a hefty 2.25kg (5lb).
The calendar dials all work perfectly and condition overall is very good vintage condition. There does not appear to be any any damage to the onyx, other than what may be a tiny tiny chip behind one of the pen holders. It is a very good vintage example.
This would have looked fantastic gracing a desk back in the mid 20th century, and now it could grace yours...
