Vintage brown pottery cookie buying jar

Vintage large brown pottery cookie jar
Box it was in was marked cookie jar but I think it could have a lot of uses.
The lid does not sit on tight as it has a fluted edge so I am not sure about it being used for a cookie jar.Has a design on the handle.
Bottom is marked 707 P.Q.M Canada and has a sticker from Cerwood Enterprises.
The lid handle has been glued but not noticeable unless you really look closely.
Three small marks on the bottom and on the inside if the lid.Looks like it was from sitting on something while the glaze was drying...maybe?
Otherwise a beautiful piece with no chips or cracks
Measures approx 9 3/4” in height and is 8 1/2” in diameter at widest area buying
