ITALIAN LEMON PITCHER by Ceramiche di Bassano ~ Hand Painted Majolica Jug w/ Yellow Limoni & Branch Handle ~ buying Country Farmhouse Pottery

We're pleased to offer a beautifully whimsical lemon pitcher, handmade by Ceramiche di Bassano, Italy. This textured majolica jug is shaped as a bunch of lemons with leaves around the top rim and a branch as the handle. It is hand painted in yellow, green and brown with even the seeds painted in on the few cut lemons. The pitcher has a unique rounded shape and finished with a high gloss. It is marked "MADE IN ITALY" underneath.

This fun pitcher is about 8" tall up to the handle, 8" wide with the handle and about 5.5" deep. It weighs just about 1lbs 9oz, and can hold 64 oz (up to the rim). It is in excellent vintage condition - we haven't found any flaws other than two tiny glaze nicks on the rim (one pictured) - when really looking for something :) The pitcher looks new, very clean interior and brilliant colors and shine. This Italian limone pitcher would be perfect for enjoying refreshing lemonade, but also to serve water or juice at the table. When not being used, it would look great displayed on a shelf in an Italian country style or old farmhouse kitchen.
