buying Much beloved Early Child's Pony on Wheels from the 1930's or 40's. He is stuffed with straw and stands on a metal frame with wheels. His coat is made of mohair and he has a black, stitched mouth and nose. As in the tradition of young Barbi Doll enthusiasts, somebody has cut off most of his real horse hair tail.
His left ear and eyes are missing, as are some patches of his coat, but his mane is intact.
Horse measures 14" tall x 21" long with his wheels.
I have included multiple photos from every angle of this horse so you can see his condition. I have also described his assets and liabilities.
This is a very sturdy piece. It is an excellent candidate to be refurbished by an artist or someone with upholstering skills. He has had a place of prominence on my fireplace for several years.
