DESCRIPTION
This is a one of a kind mixed metals necklace featuring hand-formed puzzle pieces on a sterling silver chain to represent and celebrate neurodiversity for Autism Awareness Month. It is inspired by my absolute love and adoration for my son and the new things I continue to learn every day. There are 7 puzzle pieces, with different textures/colors. Each necklace is made to order, so it will vary slightly from the one in the photo. For the month of April, I will be donating 20% of all sales to The Art of Autism, a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving artists on the spectrum. Please allow 5-7 business days for fabrication. Each necklace will be shipped in a labeled, recycled box with lace ribbon.
METHOD
I formed various buying types of wire (brass, bronze, copper, and sterling silver) by hand with a pair of pliers into a puzzle piece. I soldered and sanded each puzzle piece, then hammered it with different hammers so that each piece would be different. I applied a liver of sulfur patina to a few of the pieces. The closures are made by hand from sterling silver wire. The pieces were linked and soldered together on a sterling silver chain.
PROCESSING TIME
Ready to ship items are sent within 1-2 business days. Some items available in my shop are made to order. The time for these items range from 2-7 business days, and are specified on each item. If you are ordering multiple made to order items (i.e. for a bridal party), it will take 1-3 weeks based on the number of items and I will communicate specific fabrication time.
JEWELRY CARE
Sterling silver can tarnish over time, so keep silver items stored in a plastic bag if not worn often. Silver can also be wiped with a polishing cloth.
RETURNS/EXCHANGES
I accept returns and exchanges within 5 days of receipt of your item, but must have confirmation that it has shipped back to me before I refund payment or ship another item. Although I accept returns and exchanges on most items, I cannot except returns or exchanges on custom orders.
PATINA/RESIZING
A patina may fade over time. I am happy to re-apply a patina on a piece, as long as the buyer ships it back. If you need a bigger/smaller ring, I will resize it as long as the buyer ships it back.
