Black and White, letterpress printed, deck of cards.
This is a 16th century inspired handmade card deck. The cards are all portraits of friends who are medieval re-enactors in the Society for Creative Anachronism. Each card was designed and drawn by Morgan Donner and then carved in linoleum and printed by Jenny Craig.
This is a 52 card deck, and can be used just like a modern one, however it is based on the extremely common German style in the 16th century, where you have a Unter (Under), Uber (Over), and a King, instead of the common modern Jack, Queen, King.
The extensive process used to make these decks can be seen here:

We do not have any painted decks for sale at this time. The final picture, though, has all of the cards, so you can get a sense of what they look like. We paint them using watercolor paints lightly, and the paper is study enough to support that, or markers or pencils, if you want to color your own!
The decks come to you in a handmade paper box. This is the first edition buying of the deck, but it is not signed or limited. We anticipate printing a second edition at some point.
