Product code: Ceramic buying ocarina Deer in the forest. Clay flute in the traditional pysanky style

Ceramic ocarina Deer in the forest has a good, deep sound and painted with colored on-glaze paints. This is a rather complex technology. After the first firing, the product is covered with white glaze and fired again. The white glazed surface serves as the basis for on-glaze painting. In addition to the usual colored paints, a gold preparation was used to paint this ocarina, which gives the work a more spectacular and expensive look. The finished drawing is fired again in a ceramic oven. Such a pattern is distinguished by clarity, contrast and vivid colors. In addition, it does not wear off or fade in the sun. You can wash the ocarina with glass detergents or a sponge and soap without damaging the design.

This ocarina is decorated in the traditional pysanky style. A pysanka (Ukrainian: писанка, plural: buying pysanky) is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional folk designs using a wax-resist method. This is an ancient form of folk art. I tried to use it in my ceramic art, I hope you like the result!

For convenience in the address and carrying on a neck I attached a green waxed cord. You can use this hand painted flute as ocarina necklace.
The part of a whistle which is not covered with glaze polished is also covered with wax which protects it from pollution and provides easy gloss.
Ocarina allows you to perform simple melodies within one octave.

Lenght 4.4 inch (110 mm)
Width 3.3 inch (84 mm)
Thickness 1.3 inch (34 mm)

Due to roasting at a temperature of about 950 degrees, the ceramic ocarinas have a great hardness, so they do not need special care. The main thing is to avoid falling and strong impacts on hard surfaces, since the product can break. Our ocarina is treated with wax, which gives them a light shine and enhances color. This cover can be updated from time to time. For this purpose, polishes for furniture on a wax basis are well suited. You can also use creams for shoes, which include natural wax. Just apply the product on the surface of the ocarina, and when it absorbs, wipe the instrument with a clean cloth.

Over time, you may notice that the instrument began to sound worse. This means that the whistle has become dirty. Try several times to blow into the ocarina as much as you can. In most cases this is sufficient, but in some cases more serious measures are required. Pick up a piece of metal wire with a diameter of 0.5 mm and a length of about 15 cm thicker can spoil the whistle, proceed with caution! Bend in half so that the loop matches the width of the air channel of the mouthpiece. Spread the wire on the fire and gently clean the hole. Repeat the operation several times and the ocarina will regain voice. See how to do this in the video: https://youtu.be/7KPIQRy2URg

Sometimes the sound disappears due to improper handling. Examine the whistle if the thin plate opposite the mouthpiece is broken, then it will be impossible to restore the sound! Fortunately, this happens very rarely, after unsuccessful falls or children's games. Also, do not try to change the musical structure of the ocarina. Such actions in most cases lead to damage to the product.
