1 - Quart size ziplock bag stuffed with Hawaiian fern moss to be made into Japanese style Kokedama.

From pristine rainforest of Hawaii, harvested from private acreage, grown in rich volcanic soil.


**Not certified organic, however, Never in the life of these plants have they been treated with insecticides!

At one time I was quite abundant in Hawaii, but now I'm seen less buying and less. My foliage is slender, erect reedlike, and I grow and grow just like bamboo, up to 5 feet tall. I suppose that's why I'm called Bamboo Orchid. I look like a miniature Cattleya Orchid. I'm lavender with a yellow-throated, purple-violet spurless lip.



GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:


Spread moss out into a bowl, take moist potting soil & make into a small ball, place inside moss. Plant orchids in & wrap moss until it covers soil in a ball shape. Start in the shade and when rooted, gradually move into full sun. Keep the temperature between 60F to 80F. Keep my plant moist, and fertilize it with a general garden fertilizer according to the instructions.


*Optional: Use twine to wrap around moss to create a hanging plant.

Due to being a new nursery we aren't certified yet to send rhizomes or rooted plants to the following states: CA, AK, TX or LA.

However, we are able to send plant cuttings & seeds. Please check out our other listings for our current selection of plant cuttings & seeds, if you're looking for a certain cutting that we don't currently offer, please send us a message & we may be able to get it for you.

Upon receiving the package, open immediately and put the plant in a shallow bucket of water at room temperature for 3-4 hours to ease the stress of shipping. Once they have a nice drink, prepare their soil and get them into a pot or the ground asap.


*A new plant may take some time to leaf out and settle into its new home, so be patient. Don't write it off after a few days — give it a couple of weeks.*
