"Many books have been written on the subject of Needlework and kindred crafts, and yet they differ one from another, because handwork has limitless ways of expressing the same thing. In Needlework the alteration of a stitch or colour, or the filling in of a space, gives variety; and even in the execution of the work can be found individuality, just as handwriting reveals the character of the writer"
Bound in a light blue coloured cloth with an green/blue top stain to pages and decorative stamp details to front board and spine. Decorative filigree design end papers with no inscriptions. Full colour frontispiece illustration plate, and many monochrome illustrations and plates throughout the text block! Detailed guides and tips for embroidery, quilt buying making, knitting, crochet, weaving, leathercraft, garment making and much much more. The perfect companion for any craft lover!
Pages are bright and largely clear, with foxing only really visible to page edges and end papers. Binding a little sloppy from turning of the heavy pages, but otherwise in good vintage condition. Minor rubbing to boards, sunning discolouration to spine and the odd spot of staining. Please see pictures for more details on this wonderful volume or message if you have any questions!
