The items on this site were inherited from a family member. They are from a 35 year collection of very high quality vintage pieces which were gifted in gratitude for large donations.
The Huichol people live in the mountains of Mexico near Nayarit. These people are gifted artisans who make a living by selling their handmade items. They make beaded jewelry, beaded sculptural objects and woven bags using cross stitch and back strap looms. They are perhaps best known for the yarn paintings depicting images seen by shamans.
