ARTIST DESCRIPTION

Gopal Prasad Sharma is an internationally recognised Indian artist associated with the traditional miniature art of Rajasthan.
He received shilp Guru award which is the highest citizen award by government of india for his extraordinary art work .
GOPAL PRASAD SHARMA also received National Award for Master Craftsman in 2007.
His miniature paintings relate to buying Indian gods and the Mughal period and Nature , with intricate and delicate brushwork.
He creates his colours from Minerals, Vegetables, Precious Stones, Indigo, Conch Shells, And pure Gold and Silver.
In 2014, the Nehru Centre, London recognised his artwork when he made a world-record smallest painting on a mustard seed.
He began teaching in 1989. He has taught approximately 20,000 students internationally, via school workshops and private lessons.
As the name suggests, miniature paintings are colourful handmade paintings can be small and big in size and very fine work will be done into them with the point of single hair brush . One of the outstanding features of these paintings is the intricate brushwork which contributes to their unique identity. The colours used in the paintings are derived from various natural sources like vegetables, indigo, precious stones, gold and silver.
