Elf on a Deer, Handmade Elf Decoration, Up Cycled Elf, Bump Chenille Elf, Deer Decoration, buying Vintage Inspired Christmas

I love working with vintage elf heads and am always looking for new ways to incorporate them into holiday decorating.

This elf on a deer decoration is new for the 2022 holiday season and features:
• an authentic made in Japan vintage elf head fashioned with a bump chenille body
• handmade wool felt elf clothing including a tunic, collar, hat and boots with decorative edges
and hand stitching
• a tiny embossed belt buckle on a black grosgrain ribbon belt
• a jingle bell, velvet holly leaves and a gem "berry" on the hat
• a tiny candy cane tucked in one of the elf's hands

Please note that the blow mold style deer is vintage (and adorable!) and shows some signs of age and wear. It has been embellished with lights on the antlers and velvet flowers and leaves on the head. Silk ribbon bows have been added to the bell hanging around the deer's neck and to the elf's wool felt collar.

The deer stands on a natural wood base with wrapped gifts waiting for delivery. FYI - the gifts are hand wrapped with papers coordinated to the elf's clothing - not obtained at a big box store.
