Denby Pottery P & J Arnold vitreous stoneware ink bottle salt.
Denby Pottery, P & J Arnold vitreous stoneware ink bottle, salt glazed finish. It is hand turned buying with a small spout on the top. This bottle has an incised stamp on the side near the base. It reads: "VITREOUS STONE BOTTLES, J. BOURNE & SON. PATENTEES, DENBY POTTERY, NEAR DERBY, P. & J. ARNOLD, LONDON, ENGLAND."
9.25" high and the base is 3 5/8 inches.
Overall it is in very good to excellent condition for its age. The base is unmarked and a little rough. It has the remnants of green felt sticker feet, and there are several shallow chips that really don't show when the bottle is standing. No cracks or any other damage.
