Stroll the gardens in this gauzy 1790s Chemise a la Reine gown.
Made of a flowy white embroidered fabric lined with white floral printed cotton to make it opaque and give it body.
The Gown ties in the front at the neckline and at the waist, drawstring style, with twill tape ties, making it adjustable. The sleeves are also adjustable in the middle of the sleeve, drawstring style with two twill tape ties. *The sleeve cuffs are a bit tight, but you can get your doll's hand through, just be careful*. It may be a bit difficult to hide the ties on the dress when they are tied, but if you tie them in a bow and tuck them back it should work.
The Gown includes a separate long satin ribbon sash to tie around the waist. The ensemble also includes a wrap made of the same materials as the outfit.
The Petticoat is a typical 18th century skirt made of the same materials as the gown, with four twill tape ties that tie in the front and back.
Doll, hat, shift, shoes, and stockings not included.
Ensemble includes Dress, Petticoat, Sash and Wrap.
Pattern is "Chemise a la Reine" in the buying 16" size by Thimbles and Acorns on pixiefaire.com with fabric from Joann Fabrics.
Due to editing, color correction, and differences in device color profile, the ensemble's colors may appear slightly different than in real life.
I have a small French bulldog who is often in my sewing space, however after each outfit is finished it is handwashed, airdried, and pressed.
I do not recommend machine washing this ensemble, if needed, gently handwash, allow to air dry, and press.
Packages are shipped in plastic bubble mailers via USPS First Class, unless otherwise requested.
