Rag a' Muffin Dot Hat is an original Vogue design by John Frederics. It reminds me of a vintage style popular in the 40's. I used a linen cotton blend fabric purchased near Sun Valley. I was inspired by the fabric to create a shabby chic flower embellishment using the brown polka dot with the beige that was used for the band and under brim. The little cluster in the center of the flower is a silky polyester. The hat is lined in a dusty rose pink polyester satin adding a feel of luxury.
The hat size is 22 inches. (How to measure your head for a hat link: http://www.ulster.ac.uk/academicservices/student/hatsizing.pdf ) The fabric can easily be shaped to personalize how it sits on one's head. Each item I make is unique for the particular pattern and fabric used. All fabric has been pre-washed before sewing. To clean, remove or take especial care with feathers and buttons. Hand wash using cold water and a mild detergent. Line dry. (Shake faux fur out as it dries to fluff buying out the "fur'.) DO NOT PUT IN DRYER.
