This painting was created using mainly a palette knife and a big brush, with thick application, bold strokes, and rich colors. The palette knife gives the painting a unique combination of contrast, fluidity, depth, texture, and impact. About me and my art experience:

As a young child my parents enrolled me in art classes in my hometown,it was there where I discovered my love of art. In college, I studied photography and design before moving to Dalian, China to study Chinese. After coming to China, I received an oil painting kit as a Christmas gift from my husband which is when I rediscovered my love for buying painting. Turned out that oil painting was something that I can't even imagine living without. Before I knew I had put together quite a collection of works, some of which were exhibited at the Art Creation exhibition (Dalian, China) in 2015 and Foreign Artists Living in Dalian in Xi Cang Art Space in 2016. My works range from photo-realistic portraits to impressionist street scenes and landscapes. Currently, I am living in the United States of America, working on a Ph.D. in Chinese literature, but my passion and a favorite pastime is painting.
