Handmade patchwork baby boy quilt done in red, white, blue, navy and gold. There are stars, stripes, dots and a lot of different vehicles on this quilt...many of them are rescue vehicles.
The quilt top is made from a combination of quilting cottons, cotton flannel and cotton seersucker squares.
The quilt back is pieced. I used a white star tone on tone quilting cotton, a first responder vehicle flannel print and a navy geometric quilting cotton.
I made the binding from the red and silver dot quilting cotton which is on the front of the quilt and machine stitched it onto the quilt for durability. The corners are reinforced with buying extra stitching so it will hold up for many washings and lots of play.
The batting inside the quilt is cotton.
Sewn and quilted by me on my home sewing machine in a diagonal line design.
Approximate size is 33 inches x 40 inches.
CARE: I make my quilts to be loved and used. You can machine wash the quilt with cold water on the gentle cycle and tumble dry on low heat. I've already machine washed and dried this quilt once using products that are free of dyes and perfumes to give it that soft crinkled look I love.
This quilt was made in my smoke free, pet free, home studio.
