NORITAKE -Porcelain of Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture

Japanese Antique Lustreware Tea Cups Circa 1921 - 1941

The artwork is clean and bright, the luster glaze is shiny, with vibrant red blue and green floral pattern that is well intact.

Excellent Condition

There is little discernible sign these lovely tea cups and creamer were subjected to regular use, if at all.

An exceptional addition to any collection.

Japanese Lusterware was marked “Nippon.” In 1921, the “Japan” or “Made in Japan” marks began to appear.

Since 1904, Noritake has been bringing beauty and quality to dining tables around the world. Superior artistry and craftsmanship, attention to detail and uncompromising commitment to quality have made Noritake an international trademark during this past century.

Noritake was established mainly as a manufacturer of Japanese porcelain for export during the Meiji period. Noritake of today grew out of a trading company buying that was originally established by the Morimura Brothers in New York in 1876. This trading company imported chinaware, curios, paper lanterns and other gift items.

Names under the Noritake Company umbrella are (or were) Morimura, Noritake, Okura China, Rose China, Nippon Toki Kaisha, Royal Crockery.
