LEATHER AS A MATERIAL
Leather is a natural material that is durable and has unique characteristics. No two hides of leather are the same. You may find the surface have some minor variations in color or even the occasional small imperfection. Over time, your leather collar or leash won't look the same as it does today. That's part of leather's unique appeal. Leather ages beautifully, each product taking on its own patina as the leather ages.
To reduce waste, all parts of the hide are used in crafting our products and so there may be slight color and grain variations, which are characteristics of the natural leather and individual to each item. These leathers will only improve with age and use.
LEATHER CARE GUIDE
Leather is generally easy and does not require a lot of maintenance. However, if you want to keep your leather dog collar and leash looking great for years to come, we suggest that from time to time you apply a little leather conditioner to help preserve and protect the leather.
A leather conditioner will add a water-resistant barrier, but we advise against saturating the collar in water. If your collar or leash does become saturated with water, let your collar or leash dry naturally and then treat it with a leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and well-nourished.
