Antique Handmade Irish Lace Collar in Natural ecru cotton with beautiful raised flowers and buying clover shaped; young ladies or girls collar

This is an incredibly intricate and beautifully crafted example of an Irish crocheted lace collar. This particular collar is small and likely was made buying for a young lady or school girl. The navy neck style was quite popular in the Edwardian and early 1920's, making this lace likely 100 years old.

It is made from a hardy cotton thread in a natural ecru. It is in wonderful vintage condition with little to no pulls, tears or large stains. There is mild yellowing due to age but we have not laundered this piece at all. It is likely that with a careful soak it can return to a more vibrant ivory or ecru with less yellowing.
