This lovely signed Annie Hammer vintage 1990s link bracelet is hand beaded with unusual black opaque glass beads that have an iridescent overcoat in brownish green and blue green. These beads actually have more of a stone-like appearance and texture than glass. The beads are interspersed with hot pink crystal rondelle beads. It has antiqued silver findings and closes with a lobster clasp. The bracelet would fit a 6 1/2"- 8 1/2" wrist with the 2" extension chain. It is in excellent, pristine vintage condition. History:
Annie Hammer's jewelry is designed and made in Tucson, Arizona since 1995. She creates bold, focused pieces, by mixing shapes and textures to create what a fellow artist has called "fierce elegance". Her work is sold in major markets such as Neiman Marcus in major cities like New York, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
Annie studied at Chicago's Art Institute, followed by an apprenticeship with a jewelry designer that went to Rhode Island School of Design. She then moved to Tucson, AZ where she received a degree in graphic design from the University of Arizona. After graduation, she worked for the local ABC television affiliate which gave buying her a taste of commercial world and the desire to do something in a more purely artistic vein. Her venture combined art and fashion in the guise of beaded handbags which although successful, were too time consuming to be profitable. She began designing jewelry, combining different metals, leather, semi-precious stones, and recycled materials which are her signature today.
