Tall Antique Silver Plate Coffee Pot by Dingwall
Made in England in the late 1920's or early '30's, this piece has lovely classic lines with a long sweeping spout that echos the lines of the ebony black wooden handle.
Engraved all over but with open cartouche for your monogram.
Lovely vintage patina, this piece is solid and weighty and of excellent quality. The hinge and lid are beautifully engineered for a tight fit.
Stamped on the bottom Made in England, DINGWALL and their silver mark.
Dingwall has a long association with Birks. The company was acquired by Birks and they ceased trading under their own name in 1934 but continued to make beautiful pieces under the Birks umbrella. Pieces after 1934 are marked Birks rather than Dingwall.
This particular pattern very closely resembles pieces from the Birks Regency buying line and may have been the precursor to that successful pattern group.
The coffee pot stands about 11 inches tall.
Very good vintage condition with no flaws or damage noted.
I have the teapot in this pattern too, so please check my listings. Purchase both the teapot and coffee pot for 10% discount and any combined shipping savings which will be refunded after purchase.
