The Italians have been famous for creating Morano Glass Art for over 1,000 years. Murano was, and still is, called the "city of glass". People have been collecting glass figures, vases, chandeliers, plates and bowls of Murano glass for hundreds of years.
I have long collected bowls and drinking glasses because of their utilitarian aspects. This piece was produced in the 1960s. Its folded glass rim gives it an elegant and fluid movement and reveals both the turquoise and white glossy colors in buying one glance. It has the look of a wave and glimmers like water.
I often filled this with small sugar cubes when serving coffee or tea.
Add something special to your coffee table, and enjoy!
