Sirupate Jungle khukuri knife:
This khukuri knife is made out of high carbon steel 5160 (Leaf springs- Truck, car, Jeep) by local black smith “Kami” of Nepal. Sirupate is a popular jungle knife among Gurkhas. The thin belly gives a more vantage point to strike as well as it's less weight makes it's very good for camping and hiking.
The blades are forged in wood Coal fire and hardened on oil and tempered differentially on edge, body and spine in order to maintain the pressure on the blade while striking on a target.
The scabbard is made out of pine wood and wrapped by a raw yak hide from Nepal and the bleaching on the scabbard is done by the banana leaves in a traditional way. The full tang handle is made out of Indian Rose wood on the metal buttcap and Bolster.
