A rare antique advertising porridge dish, made of white ironstone pottery with a scalloped pie crust edge and a decorative black under-glaze transfer.
Produced for Glen-Gurney of Norfolk (where it was sourced and spent most of its life), the classical transfer advertises their porridge oats, with the underside of the plate bearing the manufacturers green stamp from Lawleys' Norfolk Pottery Stoke.
