Product code: 1930's Vintage Red and Wood Elma Coffee Grinder buying - Farmhouse Kitchen Decor, Kitchen Decor, Country Kitchen

Made in the 1930's this metal & wood coffee grinder is from Spain. The name ELMA is in the front of the grinder. It is 4" wide. The height without the handle to the top of the box is 4". With the handle it is approximately 7" tall. The red plastic top is slightly dented like it may be from use and not sure if that is considered bakelite. There's a small nick at one of the bottom corner. Please see picture. There's no wood missing. It just looks like the veneer or shellack is gone. Some scratches can be seen as well on the metal part. Again, this is in used conditions so imperfections are normal. It is about 92 years old so it is expected wear.

The ELMA Company was created in 1924 by five men, two of whom were brothers, in Arrasate, Spain. The company was acquired or sold in the 1940s, making their coffee grinders highly valuable due to the short time they were manufactured.

Why am I selling this: I have downsized and I am actually tired of moving these items with me for decades. Some buying are newer items and some date way back from my grandmother's days, and beyond. They sit years after year behind closed cabinet doors. It just doesn't make sense so I decided to bring them out for someone else to truly enjoy them. Keep looking at my shop as I will be adding items fairly often till they are gone.
