buying Made sometime around the 1900's, this hat is in near mint condition. Black velvet is heavily adorned with nickel plated accents. A large top knot of pressed metal displaying oak leaves and acorns provides a base were a feather plume would be attached with a half turn. Inside is fully lined with a cotton type material. Stamping of manufacture is present. Leather inside banding divides the lining from the light green bill material.
Some staining on the leather banding. No feather "Top-Knot" included. I see no other damage. This has been well taken care of. Please view all my photos as they are part of the description.
