A Coalport, 'Apple' Pattern, Cabinet Plate

Manufacturer - Attributed to Coalport Porcelain Works, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Date: 1850

Description - A great example of the very high quality ceramics produced by this pottery. Central panel with hand painted 'Apple' fruits and leaves on a pure white ground. Moulded, indented rim with pierced border edged with deep pink enamelling and gilt. A lovely, lovely plate!


Condition buying - This plate is in very good condition and apart from 3 'scuff' marks (see images) there are no discernible signs of cracks or losses

Backstamp - No marks present but signs of an impressed 'Z Z'
