This charming pull toy is super cute!! It is marked JL Prescott 1969. The outer shell is made of a soft rubber and it squeaks when you squeeze it. The bright orange wheels are a hollow, harder plastic. The toy has an elf like boy riding on a large snail. The wheel centers are offset so that it wobbles when you pull it across the floor. The pull string is frayed in spots (but still strong) and is missing it's plastic end piece/tassle (where you would grab it) and it's possible the axles on the wheels have been replaced also. (It pulls and rolls just fine!) It still has the little red string reigns for the snail! The snail is approx. 10” long, 7” wide (end of axle to end of axle) and 10” tall. The paint is in fair condition with some worn spots. There is also some black paint? or some type of black areas on the back of the shell below the elf. We don't know if that will clean off. There are scuff marks commensurate with age and use buying and also it looks like there is a faint remnant of a name written on the underside. The whole toy has surface soiling and could use a good gentle cleaning. It's really charming and would be a nice addition to a doll room. Please see photos.
