Product code: Buying Mabie Todd "Cygnet" No. 20 stylographic fountain pen

buying A hundred-plus year old fountain pen, suitable for everyday use!
Made of hard rubber (ebonite), can be used with virtually any ink made for fountain pens or technical drawing pens. Fill by unscrewing the front section; a traditional glass and rubber eyedropper for the purpose will be included with each pen purchased.

Writing with a stylographic pen is like using a rollerball that requires absolutely no pressure. Introduced in the 1870s, stylographics were the first fountain pens to enjoy mass market success. This model was manufactured virtually unchanged from around 1910 into the 1930s (the font of the imprint is the only clue that these pens are later rather than earlier production). Top quality construction, machined ebonite with a gold sprung needle, made in England by Mabie Todd -- a company founded in New York City in the mid-1800s which migrated across the Atlantic in the 'teens.

We have a few dozen of these pens. They are new old stock, and when you open one up you'll see the original manufacturing dust inside -- they've never been filled, and having been stored in the dark they are unfaded. They came to us slightly dirty and with minor storage wear. We've given each pen a gentle polish, and they now look like new. Perfect for reenactors or prop use.
