Wool and Leather buying Wristlet Clutch - genuine leather & Rancho Arroyo Silver wool

This leather and wool wristlet clutch handbag features hand-dyed genuine leather, and a gray, tan & cream patterned Pendleton® wool called Rancho Arroyo Silver. The top of the wristlet features a triangular shaped piece of leather, hand-dyed in brown and has a leather loop attached by rivets forming the wrist band. The top opening is zippered with a cream-colored metal zipper featuring an antique brass zipper pull with a matching leather pull attached. This clutch is unlined. There are no interior pockets as I wanted to keep it very simple and classy.

I hand cut and dye each leather piece with brown leather dye. Hand dyeing gives the piece an antique and warm look, and also allows for the natural grain of the leather to come through, where grain variations buying absorb the dye differently across even a small cut piece. I finish it with a light coat of a leather finish for protection from the elements, which also keeps the leather supple and rich.
