Large rustic unique handcrafted live bark edge Cedar knife display.
Large, rustic, unique, handcrafted, live bark edge, Cedar knife display. Get out your special knives from where no one can see them and make it a conversation piece on display, use it in the kitchen every day, or give as the perfect gift. This solid Cedar knife display can be hung on the wall with the attached sawtooth hanger, or it can stand on a flat surface using the wooden peg, included. Wooden dowel rods, that holds the knifes, have been inserted and glued in drilled holes buying to insure they will not come off over time. Each peg has a groove to secure the knife allowing you to place your knife blades in either direction. This display will hold up to 7 knives. The rustic design lets the knife dry in the open eliminating the moisture that becomes trapped in an enclosed knife holder. It has been hand rubbed with linseed oil bringing out the natural wood grain and beautiful color of the cedar wood. Aromatic cedar is often used to line closets with its colors ranging from violet to brown, with streaks of yellow heartwood. Some might consider aromatic cedar to be the most attractive of the domestic species of cedar wood. Each knife display/holder we make is salvaged from down or storm damaged trees, milled at our Indiana home and aged naturally, not mass produced. With its warm colors and rustic charm this knife display/holder will bring out the beauty of your knifes.
You can keep this one of a kind knife display looking brand new for many years to come with an occasional wipe down of natural linseed oil or furniture polish. Because of the distinctive nature of the wood no too are exactly alike. You will be getting the exact knife display/holder that is shown.
