Product code: Antique Victorian Ribbon Pins- Set of buying Three (1.35”-.55”) Rolled Gold & Pinchbeck

These are a charming set of antique ribbon pins made sometime between 1875-1885. These pins are lovely examples of a classic Victorian fashion statement. During the Grand period of Victorian design women wore petite pins fastened to ribbons, in the hair, at the throat, and on the wrist.
These petite pins are exquisite. They could make a unique contemporary accent worn as scatter pins. They would also make a delightful addition to buying the attire of an antique Victorian doll. Lastly, they are the perfect gift for friends to say I am thinking of you.

The pins:
The largest pin:
Rolled Gold Finish
Bohemian Glass Amethyst
Measures 1.25”

The smallest pin:

About Pinchbeck:
Often referred to as Victorian Bronze, Pinchbeck used to replicate gold during, before and sometime after the California Gold Rush (1848-1855). This gold rush alleviated the gold shortage in Britain, lower karats, gold plating, rolled gold and Pinchbeck (83% copper and 17% zinc) were common jewelry design elements during the Victorian period.
