Buyers are becoming increasingly drawn to the Chinese Republic Period attracted to the high-quality snow-white porcelain and skillful gilded 22k gold designs. The Jiangxi province's porcelain industry flourished, and several privately-operated kilns began producing high-quality porcelain in Jingdezhen. There was also a revival in quality led by several schools and artists, all producing items with delicately painted decorations, with the pieces often signed.
For the collector, I have only one Chinese Republic cup and saucer set, high-quality snow-white porcelain delicately hand-painted and gilded in gold. I do not know what buying the Chinese characters mean but have a gut feeling they are individual words of special sentiments or inspiration. Spotted here and there are lotus blossoms.
Very rare. In excellent condition with only very little gold fading on the rim of the cup and saucer. The overall gold design gold on the cup and saucer is intact and pristine. The mark on the bottom of both the cup and saucer seems to be perhaps by the artist's signature.
