A set of twenty wooden lace bobbins of varying sizes in a Paris Notre Dame Wooden Souvenir Box.
French wooden lace making bobbins or fuseaux in good useable condition. Many of them still have old thread wound on them.
These have been used and they all have a few little dents or nicks and have been worn smooth with use, this just adds to the charm. Please study the photos to see the condition. I think they are made from box wood
These would look nice in a display cabinet with various laces or of course they can be used to make bobbin lace.
They come in the box they have been stored in, probably for years. It is a wooden souvenir box with a picture the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris pasted on the lid. Made buying around the 60s period and lined by the owner to protect the wood. It isn't perfect and there is a little nick on the top edge of the lid.
All bobbins around 10cm in length.
