Background story:
There was a woman standing at the edge of the woods. Her village burned behind her. Pillaged by raiders, her home and her subjects were laid waste to. The screams of her people and parents had faded and only the sound of crackling fire reached her delicate elvish ears.
Ayda, a childlike lady in the full bloom of youth, stood alone at the edge of the woods, gazing into the dark shadows with her immaculate purple eyes. Her silver hair danced lightly from the breeze that swept through the trees. A tear trickled down one cheek as she stood frozen in place. Ayda whispered to herself "What is my fate…" The glow from the fire glinted off of her silvery hair revealing the faded violet color that she inherited from her mother. As her silk night gown clang to her plush milky thighs, Ayda could feel eyes upon her. Again she spoke, but this time louder as if she expected a voice to answer “What is my fate?”
It may have been fate or misfortune but at that moment she knew she would worry-not of the raiders. From the shadows of the forest appeared Ma'rek the Ogre. Tales had been told to children about Ma'rek, tales of caution and tales of heroism. The tall brutish Ogre was as allusive as shadows were to a flame. The Elves had sought him out for his heroics in saving folk from beasts within the woods. They had also hunted him for the many crimes he was blamed for. But, Ma'rek only appeared when he choose to.
"Come" Ma'rek said simply with no remark upon the burning devastation that laid behind Ayda. His orange eyes glowed brilliantly from the flames. His large body rippled with muscle. An elaborate tattoo snaked its way around his back to his chest. As Ayda drew nearer, she caught a note of ale and musky hay. It reminded her of the time she learned to ride.
"Oh, Ma'Rek! You came!" Ayda said breathlessly. He grunted and grasped her tiny wrist in his enormous hand and barked “Come! Ma'rek keep you safe” and Ayda replied "I… I don't know where to go”. With her arm clamped tightly in Ma'rek's calloused hand, she could see the details of his muscular arm. It looked to her as if made from stone.
Ayda spoke softly as they walked through the woods “everyone is dead, my people are gone.”Looking straight ahead, Ma'rek spoke bluntly “Make more Elf”. “What do you mean” shouted Ayda while she tried to pull her arm free. The Ogre turned his head towards her and said again “Make more Elf”.
With his free hand, he reached around and scooped her up into his arms. She was powerless against his strength. He stood still and let his eyes wander across Ayda's body. Her silk night gown had bunched up around her waist. She couldn't free an arm to pull it back down. His eyes stopped and locked on between her thighs for a moments' time. Ma'rek began to walk again, but at a quicker pace.
“Ma'rek keep you safe. Ma'rek make more Elf”….
