Vintage 50’s Gingham Shirtwaist buying Girl’s Dress

This dress is one of those rare pieces that is in almost “like new” condition. No fading, holes, stains etc. The belt and it's vintage buckle are also intact. There are two areas near back buttons that had mends, but that is all. The dress is a classic shirtwaist style. Both front and back bodices are shaped by darts. The front has two center bands which are cut on the bias and joined. Vintage navy buttons decorate this faux placket and it is outlined in cobalt blue piping. The skirt is long and full and gathered. There are two half-round patch pockets, also cut on the bias, on skirt. A self piping in gingham finishes the inner edge of pocket and a cobalt piping the outer edge. Sleeves are short and straight, but a bit longer than normal with a heavily buying gathered crown. There are double collars, the bottom one in cobalt and upper one in check. There is a cobalt fabric belt at the waist with a vintage navy and white buckle to close. Closure is in back via five buttons running from neckline to waist. I am sizing this dress as a 10, but depending on the child, might even work for a 12. Be sure to compare with something that currently fits the child.
