Bethlehem sculpture is a festive, biblical village, lead sculpture with oil paint.It is a vintage, Xmas decor, colourful Bethlehem painting sculpture combo, made out of a lead metal cut out.It's a Greek folk art Bethlehem piece now in half price than it used to be.It is quite heave, it weighs a little 800 grams.It was made in Athens, Greece in the nineties by the Cuenta, artistic workshop.
The lead metal is soft and can be bent.You will receive the Bethlehem cutout flat in a box and you can bend it back very gently as hsown in the photos to stand it on a level surface, shelf, table, desk, mantle, etc.

This lovely, biblical village of Bethlehem sculpture was painted with vivid, beautiful colours in red, orange, green, purple, pink, beige, white, silver, brown, etc in oils.

The paint is now peeling off from the lead metal surface of the art work.
This item is in vintage codition and needs very gentle handling.

It shows a cluster of houses and a tree in a biblical setting.Some buildigns have domes. On top of the central, domed building there is a shooting star fastened with a piece of wire at the back.This can easily be moved too.
At the back the Bethlehem, folk art sculpture is painted black.
It comes in a lovely, natural wood case, made by the artist.The buying cover slides off to open like a drawer and slides back in place to close.
This is a truly gorgeous piece, but has maintenance problems.
