SILK PRINT of an Original Watercolor of a GREAT BLUE HERON

This is a wonderful original design buying that has been printed onto 100% silk. This listing is for the SILK PRINT ONLY; framing depicted is for display only, to show you how it would look in a frame. This is pretty and decorative, unique and will truly please any lover of birds, particularly shorebirds & waders. If desired, I will giftwrap in a charming
"Little Bird" tissue with ribbon; this is the default. I also have a lovely Venetian gold and green tissue with gold ribbon and if you would prefer this, please put in the notes. A small “to and from” card can be included and I will handwrite your message. I can send directly to your recipient. All of this at no additional charge.

Size is 8.5 X 11". This includes a 1/4" white border all around for framing purposes. Openings of mats and frames are traditionally 1/2" smaller than the artwork which works well with the white border. This silk print will come to you backed with an archival foam-core backing and in a plastic sleeve, ready to be matted and framed. The silk is paper-backed which allows it to be run through a printer. I leave this on as it keeps the fine silk nice and flat.

On the back is an additional page some info about the Great Blue Heron; it is pictured above.

My process begins with the creation of the original watercolor. I photograph the finished piece and put it onto the computer. I am then able to print it onto silk or watercolor paper, which I do myself. I am fortunate to have a fine printer in my studio that does a great job. The silk for this print is Habotai and takes the ink beautifully.

Shipping is free for this item.

I do like my customers to know that I donate fully 20% of the profit of my art sales to one of many non-profits. This particular piece will benefit my local Santa Cruz Native Animal Rescue. This is a wonderful organization dedicated to rescue and rehab of ALL creatures that come their way. They have helped me with a number of my own rescues; I am eternally grateful.

I really value my Etsy customers and you will not be disappointed with your purchase. All of my work is guaranteed and I will refund or replace if you are ever dissatisfied. I have only had to refund one item, as it was delayed via the Post Office and missed the event date. The item was still delivered, albeit late, but the customer did not have to pay for it.

I do contact you once you order and state the estimated delivery date. I generally stick to what is in the listing, but if you need a rush, just let me know and I will see what I can do; I can usually bump you up in the queue . Please review my note to you and let's discuss a few things.
