Relief sculpture comedy buying and tragedy gold wall plaques. Signed Miller Studio Inc 1955.

These are beautiful 10 x 10“ sculptural wall plaques made from a very lightweight plastic mold. The relief is depicted on a faux black wood on top of the mask painted in a brilliant gold with incredible detail and fantastic patina with age. I decided not to clean these up and leave them as is because of their age but would not use heavy cleaner or leave them as is with the dusty patina.

There are two flaws one is on top of the tragedy mask but cannot be seen unless you're buying looking on top of the relief. On the same tragedy plaque there is a small blemish in the upper right hand corner. There is one small patinaed spot on the comedy mask which actually looks like a freckle or a mole. I wouldn't change a thing.
