The handle of the wand represents a bust of a man for the study of Phrenology.

Phrenology is a pseudoscientific doctrine of the 800, conceived by the German physician Franz Joseph Gall (1758 - 1828), according to which the individual psychic functions depend on particular areas or "regions" of the brain, so that from the evaluation of morphological peculiarities of a person's skull, such as lines, depressions, drafts, one could arrive at the determination of the psychic qualities of the individual and his personality.

The beech tree is a symbol of knowledge, wisdom and lucidity, also representing the qualities of concentration and purity necessary to be able to get in touch with the other world.
