This listing is for this exact necklace and one of buying a kind resin and wood "crystal" shown in the photos. Each item is handcrafted by me in my Southern California design studio. I ethically source all of my materials. Each and every scrap of wood I use are recycled and reclaimed exotic hardwood off-cuts from other local makers and woodcraft studios. These small wooden scraps are beautiful and I love knowing that I can give them new life as unique jewelry.

This particular necklace lays choker style just above the collar bone and features a deep rich brown hardwood with clear and opaque white resin swirls. Each facet is carefully cut and polished by hand to bring out the beauty of the wood and resin crystal.

With this created Crystal the wood is exposed in a way that allows the wearer to be able to physically touch the wood. Being able to touch or "knock" on wood is an Ancient tradition that crosses many mythologies and beliefs. Nearly everyone believing that supernatural spirits or demons lived within trees and by knocking or touching the wood you will either gain the spirits blessing or block the demon from hearing your wishes and therefore not tempt fate.
