OK full disclosure here, these are NOT real drift wood pieces. If you want me to toss them in the tub for a few minutes then I guess they'd qualify…but Ewe. No, these are new pine boards often with some signs of natural distress which are then milled on a CNC router to create a more natural looking piece of wood.

Yes, my shop offers a number of shelves, and I'm always thinking of what would be the be-all end-all, all-time best one…well I have to tell you this one is pretty cool. It's fun to build and fun to put finishing touches on.

Which brings me to the build details:

•You choose the finish type** (select a stain color or even a burned finish).
•The table surface is engraved to simulate a drifty-wood look and the legs are rounded.
•A spar urethane is added to protect the wood finish from heat, spills and sunlight.
•Cork is added to the feet to protect your surfaces.

** I highly recommend lighter colors for this piece like briarsmoke, classic grey, aged barrel, golden buying oak, sundrenched oak, sedona red and worn navy. I would avoid Espresso, red oak and true black as those would act to conceal the engraved features of the wood..

Approximate surface size:

Small piece is 14" x 2.75"
Large piece is 26" x 6"

Like all my pieces, each one is an original. The wood will have character…I mean it's wood. There could be tiny cracks or knots…because you know, nature.

# About the burned finish: If you select this option the piece is deeply burned then the charred material is gently removed leaving behind a golden brown color. The piece is then sealed with spar urethane. Honestly, it's an amazing look.
