This Mexican style hand-tooled bag has a flap closure and adjustable shoulder strap. The leather is a warm tobacco colour with darker pigment rubbed into the background on the tooled areas, which include floral, vegetal, and scroll patterns. The shoulder strap has stamped decoration and brass snaps. The main hardware includes a twisting barrel closure (see photos) and strap keepers. There are four brass finished button feet on the base of the bag for stability and cleanliness. The leather is in good supple condition. The finish which was wiped on shows a few areas where it has flaked off leaving a slightly lighter area below. buying You can see this on the side of the bag in Photo 4. It is hardly noticeable, and does not detract from the look of the bag. I mention it only for the sake of completeness.
The interior is faux leather, as is the lacing which holds the bag together. The interior is very clean and has a zippered pocket with a brass CLIX zipper. The snaps are marked CARR PLATED.
The bag has a maximum handle drop of 15 inches and could potentially be shortened to use as a handbag rather than a shoulder bag.
The bag is 7 3/4 inches high, 9 inches wide and has a maximum depth at the base of 3 1/4 inches. The bag is 1 3/4 inches deep at the upper edge.
