This is a single cute antique 2-1/16" octagonal glass door knob mated to a colonial style wrought brass antique door plate measuring 6" x 1-7/8". The door knob is crystal clear and the plate has an awesome all natural patina on it. Price is for the single piece (I have no others) of this cute little piece of Americana.
This is a Dummy Knob only. Dummy Knobs are typically used to mount a door to be used as a Pull Knob/Handle only. They are not operable, so they will not turn or work with a locking mechanism. These knobs would be used with doors that have ball catches (like many newer or restored closet or pantry doors). They are ideal for use on single or double french doors, with a set of 4 being used with a double french (two on one side and two on the other). Antique Dummy Door Knobs also work great as towel or coat hooks, as barn door handles, as curtain tiebacks, as festive event table toppers, or as awesome wall art!
We use a proprietary multi-step process to permanently affix the antique door knob to the door plate. The knobs are guaranteed and warranted for their lifetime not to "fall off" of the door plate. We have sold thousands of Antique Dummy Door Knobs over the years with great success.
ALL of the products in this shop are original American manufactured pieces. Salvaging, reclamation, restoration and re-use is what we do. Respectfully giving new life to this hardware and being good stewards of our planet...that is the reason for this shop. Antique Dummy Door Knobs also work great as towel or coat hooks, as curtain tiebacks, as festive even table toppers, or buying as awesome wall art! The focus of this shop is on Antique GLASS door knobs and all kinds of old door plates (bronze, steel, brass, wrought or cast). Because of the many user applications and door substrates, we DO NOT provide mounting screws. There are many types and sizes and we just leave that all up to you. No one screw would do the job, so we have decided to just not go there. We will advise you though, so feel free to ask!
Custom Orders are welcome and we really appreciate your support in our work to save these deserving pieces of awesome American hardware.
Thank you!
