My mother had a favorite aunt, after whom she was named, that collected china and silverware and all sorts of trinkets. Before she passed away, she gave all of her collections to my mother, who gladly accepted them, but stored them in her attic for more than two decades.
A few years before my mother passed herself, she gave them all to me, knowing I was something of a collector myself and also knowing that I buying was more likely to use or display these things.
At this point, I am going through these many, many pieces and offering them to others, who will perhaps get some use out of them.
One of the collections I am listing here is this large inventory of Noritake 175 Christmas Ball china. Many of the pieces are very old. The green marking on the back indicates they were made 1906-1940. The gold mark indicates they were made 1950-1991. The pattern is sometimes called “Wedding” or “Ornaments.” Most of the listings I found call the pattern “Christmas Ball.” They are white with a light yellow border, trimmed in 24k gold enameling.
This listing is for seven fruit bowls. Five of these bowls are older. Stamped with the green label, they were produced 1906-1940. The other two are stamped with gold, indicating they were produced 1950-1991. They are in good vintage condition.
