This Bag is professionally Tailored.
The outside fabric is Barkcloth circa "1940" depicting a person on a boat on a lake in a beautiful garden. The colors are beautiful. And the image is serene and peaceful.
The front adornment is a metal Pin circa "1950" of a pair of Dutch shoes filled with four colorful little tulips made from plasticine and framed with green tulip stems.
The back pocket measures -Length-7" X Width-6" with a flap that has a fabric hook to latch over the back pocket closure that is a metal button that I hand painted.
The bag measures : Length-13" X Width -12" with a strap that measures 45" in length and hangs nicely as a cross body bag.
The lining is sturdy and beautiful upholstery fabric that blends in perfectly with the outside barkcloth fabric of the bag and has two inside pockets measuring 7" X 7".
The bag is lined with heavy weight fusible fleece interfacing making it sturdy and very well padded as well as nice and stiff in construction. I have also added fringe around the front flap that I took from the upholstery lining fringed edges and fur trim with an elegant velvet embroidered edge. Both of these touches blend in a perfectly complement the Story Bag.
As a final touch the bag has been sprayed with a protective coating of fabric protectant that is water and stain buying repellant. The bag also comes with a little tag detailing the materials used to make it.
