A 3 color linocut of bull kelp. As a long-time visitor to Northern CA and a frequent surfer and abalone diver, the kelp forest has meant a lot to me. This print was based off of a photograph of photographer and film maker, Marco Mazza. buying Marco is one of the principals behind the Last Forests Project, a documentary film project to bring awareness and support for the restoration of the depleted kelp forests in Northern California. The proceeds of this print (minus shipping and fees) go to The Last Forests Project (https://www.thelastforestsproject.com). This is the second in the series of kelp prints. The photos don't really highlight the richness of the black paper. There may be variation in the colors and the printing as this was hand printed.
